Do external environmental factors affect the probability for twin births?

I was walking around the zoo Saturday with my smokin’ hott boyfriend and we noticed an substantial amount of double baby strollers vs. the single strollers. Do you think there could be something in the local water causing all of these multiple births?

It could be in the water, or it could be in the ballsacks. We do have two, you know. Although mine are pretty empty right now thanks to my sexy nympho gf. She probably has twins right now.

Actually, twins are much more common now then they used to be.
The reason is AGE.
More and more women are waiting until into their mid to late 30’s to have babies, which is fine, but it has increased the rate of a lot of birth defects like down syndrome and it has also increased the rate of multiples.
2 reasons for increased multiple births.
1. As a women ages, her cycle becomes irregular, the ovaries can be prone to some months release no egg, some months release 2….the more eggs released at the same time, the higher chance of multiples!
2. More couples are forced to use fertility treatments like IVF to get pregnant, because as they get older their fertility is not reliable. IVF they usualy introduce up to 5 embryo’s into the uterus, so it has a higher chance of at LEAST 1 of them implanting and becoming viable. All 5 could potentially implant.
note: the rate of identical twins has not gone up due to any of the above reasons.
