A baby stroller is an important baby gear purchase that you make as a parent. A good stroller has to be safe, comfortable for the baby, functional, and stylish. Traveling with your little one in tow will pose a few traveling challenges that can be safely overcome if a few things are taken into consideration before you actually buy a stroller. • Stroller weight A stroller has to be lightweight. Choosing a lightweight stroller need not necessarily mean you have to compromise quality. A heavy-duty and sturdy-looking stroller may sound like a good idea but consider the fact that at some point of your travel you may have to carry the stroller. • Stroller space A stroller should be roomy enough to allow bodily movements like change in position, hand and leg movements etc. of your baby. Also, it should have enough space to store your baby’s items like his diaper bag, bottle, solid food if any and such other things. After all, a baby stroller is for your and your child’s convenience. A cramped baby stroller will not even serve the primary purpose let alone some additional storage space. • Type of travel A regular or daily-use stroller will have to be different from one being used for trips. This is due to the fact that you may have to cross bridges, climb stairways, walk rough terrains and use public transport while on a trip. Make a choice bearing this basic fact in mind. • Recliner Stroller Choose a baby stroller with a reclining seat with extra padding. You never know when your little one may just decide to take a little nap. • Canopy strollers Whatever you do, never buy a baby stroller without a canopy. The sun cover or canopy can be detachable or foldable. Buying a canopy baby stroller will not only protect your baby from direct sunlight but also from rain and wind. • Type of Harness Harness, belt or strap is what holds your baby to the stroller and prevents him/her from falling out. A five point harness is ideal for an infant as one harness goes around the waist, two in between the legs and two from under the arms and around the shoulder. A three point harness that has one strap going around the waist of the baby and two in between the joints of the legs is suitable for toddlers and older kids. • Convenience features Some strollers have toy bars, drink holders, food trays, rain hoods and such other features. Depending on the distance you will be traveling with our baby, you may want to choose a baby stroller with additional features. Select the one which has features most useful to you and your baby. After having made an apt choice with the help of the above-mentioned points, be sure to label your baby stroller with your name and contact information. As the saying goes, “better safe than sorry.”

Have you recently purchased a pet stroller for your pet? Are you concerned they just might not like it? Most people will find their pets adjust quickly to their pet strollers, but if your pet is not so quick to warm up, don’t worry! Here are some easy tips to help your pet adjust and learn to love his or her new pet stroller:

* Pet Strollers are to be used outside. So make sure you only use your pet stroller for going outside. You want your pet should associate the pet stroller with the enjoyment of being outside rather than with being confined indoors. If your pet enjoys being outside they will quickly learn to like the pet stroller because it will signal the fact they are going out.

* Leave your pet stroller out in the open, in a common area where your pet feels comfortable. This will allow your pet to investigate their new pet stroller on their own. Leave a couple pet snacks inside. Leaving your pet a few doggie treats will make your pet comfortable, excited even, to go back in later. Let your pet explore the pet stroller and get to the treats inside. If your pet stroller is for a cat, leave it out and let them take a nap in the stroller. Once they comfortable enough to take a nap it won’t be long before they are comfortable enough to take a ride. Just make sure to lock the pet stroller wheels so your poor pet doesn’t roll away when they jump in. If they jump in and it rolls away that could set the process back quite a bit.

* Reward your pet with a treat the first few times you use the pet stroller. There’s nothing pets love more than treats. If they begin to associate the pet stroller with something they love they will begin to love the stroller.

* The first few times you use your pet stroller try to go to calm and quiet places. Your pet will be working on getting used to the pet stroller, don’t give them a huge crowd to deal with too. Once your pet has adjusted to the new pet stroller it will be a perfect way to take them to busy places, like festivals.

* Be patient with your pet. I know you just spent your hard earned money on this lovely pet stroller, but it may take some time for him to adjust. If you get frustrated by his lack of love for his pet stroller he will be able to feel it. If he feels you are frustrated or angry with him he will associate that with the new stroller making it even more difficult for him to begin to love it.

* As with anything new to a pet it may take a couple times for them to adjust. Be patient and understanding, and make sure you use a happy tone of voice when you are talking to your pet about his new pet stroller. It may take a couple trips, but your pet will realize their pet stroller is fun!
