What age should my baby have to be able to sit in her new, second hand, “chicco pick-up” stroller?

Why do people bring huge strollers into crowded sit down restauraunts?

Don’t they provide your children with places to sit? Either high chairs or booster seats? Can’t you bring in a carrier and slide it into a booth?

At what stage can a baby face forward in a stroller?

I know this sounds like a silly question; is it when he/she can sit up? The reason I’m asking is b/c we’re going to be traveling a fair amount when my daugher is ~6-7 months. I’m happy with our stroller now, but it’s not terribly light and might not be the most convenient if we have to lug it around. Thanks for any advice or tips!

When is it socially unacceptable to push your older kids in a stroller?

I plan on taking my almost 7 yr old child to a large mall that is very far away from where we live. Since I plan to shop many hours, she tends to get whiny because she eventually wants to sit down. I still have a stroller – does this seem a little too extreme? It doesn’t seem socially acceptable, but I just don’t know what else to do other than find a wheelchair or take frequent sit-down breaks!!!!! She really wants to go too.
