Features of an Ideal Baby Stroller
Shania Scott asked:
Each model comes with a variety of features and the trick is to see which ones are right for you. You might have to decid between weight or storage, maneuverability or a trendy design, but on the whole you should be able to find a stroller that has everything you need. Before shopping make a check list of the features that are important to you.
Basket Capacity
Once you decide where you and baby are going, you need to decide what you need to take with you. How much storage does that require? Do you need a basket that can fit a large diaper bag, extra clothing, and lunch? Or would a pocket for your keys and a cup holder work better for you? Be sure to check dimensions so you can take all your supplies wherever you need to go.
Weight
Again, you need to ask yourself where you will be taking your stroller. If you need to transport your stroller you may want to research the lighter models. Heavier strollers are likely to be well built and loaded with features, but it may not be worth it if you hate to lug your stroller around.
Folding and Storage
The “one handed fold” is a very popular feature now. More and more companies are catering to the parent who never has enough hands. Be sure to try folding your stroller of choice at the store if at all possible. This will let you see how easy it really is to fold. After folding your stroller away think about where it will need to fit. How big is your vehicle? Will your stroller fit in the trunk? What about when you travel and your stroller needs to come too? Will you have enough room for all the luggage? Check the measurements to be sure your stroller will fit.
Maneuverability
If it is possible – test drive a stroller before you buy! This will avoid a lot of trouble down the road. Test how easy you can make a turn, if you can fit though a narrow isle, and if the handlebars are high enough for you. Many of the newer models now feature adjustable handlebars which are a relief for taller parents.
Color
Strollers now come in a variety of snazzy colors and prints, but how do you know which one to choose? First think about your baby. Dark colors absorb heat and may make your baby uncomfortable. On the other hand, light colors tend to show stains. They are good for night walk though, as they tend to be easier to see. Also think about the next little one who will be in the stroller. Purchasing a pink stroller may not be practical if the next baby is a boy! It is safer to stick with neutral colors because you never can tell.
Upkeep
No matter how hard you try to avoid it, little ones are going to make messes. Be sure to take this into consideration when purchasing a stroller. Some stroller models conveniently allow you to remove the seat for washing. Others sell seat covers to keep any mess off the upholstery.
Accessories
First, check out what comes with your stroller. Does it have cup holders or a snack tray? What accessories are important to you and your baby? If they are not included, many manufacturers make accessories to go with your stroller. Many sell rain covers, sun shades, cold weather boots, and even cup and snack holders. Just one more thing to check out before you buy.
Buying a stroller can seem very overwhelming, but just think about what is at stake. This is for your babies comfort, but you also have to be comfortable pushing your stroller around. The more research you do the better decision you will make. Some people say there is no perfect stroller…but maybe you can prove them wrong and find a stroller that you absolutely love.

Double Your Fun With a Pure and Honest Kids Double Stroller!
Molly Ridenhour asked:
When you have multiples or young children very close in age, purchasing a double stroller is one of the most important purchases you will make. The stroller helps you travel to and fro everywhere you go for the first few years of your child’s life, so you want to make sure you get the stroller that meets all your needs. This choice becomes a bit more complicated when you’re using the stroller for more than one child.
Pure and Honest Kids has an excellent selection of double strollers. Check them out here! Here are some tips on how to find the perfect double stroller for your family.
The best stroller is the one that fits your lifestyle, is a style you like, and also fits your budget. Safety and comfort are essential, and the accessories and options that come with double strollers are not to be ignored.
Think about your lifestyle. Are you going to be jogging with your babies? Or mostly running errands? Will you be using the stroller mostly in a city setting, walking on sidewalks in congested areas, or do you live close to the coast or mountains and plan on walking on uneven terrain often? The best double stroller will allow you to do all the activities you like to do, ensuring you can take your babies wherever you need to go. When you figure out your lifestyle and the activities you will mostly use your stroller for, you can then narrow the options considerably.
Safety is always the number one concern of parents when shopping for something as important as a stroller. With a double stroller, you want to ensure both children are full protected, and have individual safety features, such as padding and reliable restraint systems, such as a five-point harness. Other safety features to consider are a secondary locking mechanism on the frame of the stroller to ensure that the stroller cannot fold up while in use, rear-wheel breaks, tip-resistant frame, and some type of canopy to protect the baby from sun and inclement weather.
You also have to think about the size of the stroller. Will it fit into your car? How much does it weigh and can you comfortably transport it in and out of your car? These are all important things to consider when buying a double stroller. Double strollers are considerably larger than a single stroller and you do not want to purchase one that is too cumbersome or heavy for you to enjoy using.
Speaking of cumbersome, does the stroller fold and unfold easily? You will be juggling two young children at once, while folding and unfolding your stroller. It is essential to find a stroller that has an easy-to-use mechanism to open and close your stroller frame.
Although children are small, they require a lot of “stuff” to travel around town. Make sure you look for a stroller with some storage areas. A generously-sized storage basket on the bottom of a double stroller is a wonderful feature to consider, and will enable you to carry all the items both your children need.
What accessories on your stroller will make your life easier? Strollers have so many options today, including snack trays, cup holders, toy bars, IPod hookups, and so much more. Do some research and figure out what accessories you want on your double stroller.

Can one use a collapsible stroller which is not umbrella in an airport ?
Anuta asked:
I am moving out of country and going to L.America, where stroller choices are very narrow. I’d like to bring my main stroller with me. They recommend using an umbrella stroller that I can check in at the gate, but I was wondering if I could use a regular collapsible stroller as well. Don’t want to buy an umbrella just for one travel+my baby doesn’t sit well yet.
